I’ve read this Valentine’s Day story six times and I still crack up – he DEFINITELY earned the 14 Swag Bucks for this submission …

Me and my wife didn’t have much money a few years back, I got out of the United States Air Force, took a job paying less, new house, car, utilities, etc. We saved up money for a month to buy lobster tails at the grocery store. My wife looked up the recipe, bought several fancy “parts” to complete the meal, and came home to cook it.

She looked great, the table looked great, soft music was playing in the background, and the candles were lit. THE LOBSTER..BURNT. It was horrible!!! She had put it in the oven, and did exactly what the recipe said, but my tails must have been smaller than what they recommended. They were burnt black. Talk about STINKING!!! We had to open the windows and the doors and fan out the smell with dishtowels (and it still wasn’t completely gone for about two days). YUCK! We wound up eating cold bologna sandwiches as our main course! To make matters worse, I was the only one who ate one of the oysters in its shell, and I got FOOD POISONING! UGH. From now on, when we want seafood (other than baked fish), we go out for it!

Hahahaha!!! Burnt lobster, bologna sandwiches, and tainted osyters – happy Valentine’s Day indeed! Hopefully this year our Swaggernaut friend will get his wife some perfume or jewelry from the Valentine’s Day section of our Shop&Earn – you know, something that she can wear when he takes her OUT TO EAT!! hahaha
