Second Swag Bucks?
Team Swag Bucks is always on the lookout for ways to improve Swag Bucks Nation. One suggestion we recently received from an enterprising Swaggernaut involved creating a virtual world for Swag Bucks.
Virtual worlds, for those of you that are unfamiliar, are programs that replicate the real world in computer environments. Each inhabitant (i.e. “you”) creates an avatar, which they use to inhabit and interact with the virtual world.
What does that mean for you in simple English? Let’s say Swag Bucks built a virtual world. You would be able to create a “character” with a look and feel of your choosing. Inside the world, you’d be able to travel to the Swag Store, which would look like a real store! Every item would be featured on a shelf, and you could interact with it exactly the way you would in a real store. Other users would also be there, and you would be to interact with them by chatting, making friends, doing business, etc.
Everything you currently know and enjoy about Swag Bucks, would be available for you in the virtual world. Want to answer a poll? Get up and “travel” to the poll room. Along the way, pass a park bench where Swag Code hunters gather to share tips and clues. Join them or continue on to your original destination. Want to read an old blog entry? Go to the Blog “library” and explore old entries as though it were microfiche.
The inspiration for this comes from Second Life, a huge online community where users can attend classes, start businesses, sell property, etc.
So what do you say? Is a virtual world a good idea for Swag Bucks? We’ve created an exclusive poll just for our blog readers. Let us know what you think.
