The stage is now set: the New York Yankees will face the Philadelphia Phillies as the Phillies defend their title being the first team to do so since the Yankees themselves in 2001 when they fell to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Phillies are the first National League team to defend a World Series title since their NL East division rivals, the Atlanta Braves back in 1996 when they fell to guess who…the New York Yankees. Whoa.

The series starts tomorrow in Yankee Stadium, where the majority of games will be played if the series goes the full seven games. In other words, the Yankees are the team with homefield advantage (in case you were wondering).

As for the polls, Swag Nation picked the Dodgers and Yankees to go to the World Series…so 1 for 2 there. You also picked a batter to win the MVP in both the ALCS & NLCS. Ryan Howard, a batter, won the NLCS MVP while C.C. Sabathia, a pitcher (not a batter) won the ALCS MVP. 1 for 2 there as well. So far Swag Nation is 2 for 4, but as you’ll recall these were paired polls and rewards were conditional upon Swag Nation picking both polls right and then the next pair of polls right and so on.

But, in the spirit of graciousness, if you guys nail the World Series (pick the winner and the amount of games), we will STILL run the 4 Swag Buck code for 2 hours. Here’s what Swag Nation predicted.

Now, if all you want out of this World Series are Swag Bucks, then you’re hoping the Yankees win it in 6 games. If you’re a Yankees or Phillies fan, root for your team as normal. Not even Swagbucks should stand in the way of fan allegiances.
