As you know, Swagbucks has plenty of Gift Cards that you can get for free with the web's premier digital dollar. What could be better than getting to save money without even spending money?! Especially during the holiday season. We've got a wide variety of Gift Cards in our Swag Store; from Amazon to Barnes & Noble to Starbucks to Sephora to CrazyDogTShirts to iTunes to PayPal to Target and more. We have these available in the Swag Store all the time and they're always free to you by using your Swag Bucks.But, we're going to make what's already an awesome system even better. Here's how...
Every day of the week we will pick one Gift Card in our Swag Store and "blow it out"! Starting on Black Friday (November 27th) we'll drastically cut the price to much less than we normally have these cards at and you can scoop up as many as 2 for far less than their full price. We won't announce which gift cards are the blowout card of the day but if and when you find it, go to town. Some gift cards may be the blow out gift card of the day more than once and at different blowout prices. That means you should probably explore the Swag Store every day just in case we're blowing out one of your favorite online store's gift card. We will do this all the way up until January 1st, 2010.
And remember, when you redeem a Gift Card, it'll appear in your My Gift Cards section of your My Account page. It'll look something like this...

This blowout will be SO AWESOME!! Especially if someone buys a bunch (er, 5 or less) (or actually only 2, since that's the limit) of cards at the blowout price and THEN the same card is the "blowout" card on another day at an even lower price but that person can't get it again because there's the SO AWESOME limit, which is TOTALLY made better by the higher-quantity cards that cost like 3x more. SO AWESOME!! Maybe you need some fast-talking fine print at the bottom of the entry reminding people that they can only get 2 cards at the SO AWESOME!! blowout price.
I get that you guys need limits but all this "EVERYTHING IS SO AWESOME!! HERE'S SOME HIGHER CARDS AT 3x THE COST SO IT'S NOT ANY DIFFERENT THAN BEFORE! AWESOME! WE ROCK!!" is rather insulting.
I have to start saving up some swagbucks for this. I hope I have enough when something good comes up.
Damn, I just redeemed my 90 bucks for 2 gift cards early this morning because I figure it's pretty likely the price will probably go up soon, after this whole thing with the new limits. Doubt I'll get 90 again by the time the Amazon cards go for this ~amazing blowout price~. I sure would like to be able to see how many people actually get to take advantage of this.

Great idea, but I'll be doing most of my shopping before black friday....although if I can pick up a few gift cards less than full price I'd be very very happy to do so, ESP if its Amazon....

Nice touch, TSG!! Just a couple of questions though. Since most of the cards have a "regular" price and a "special offer" price, how are we going to know which ones are being blown out? Do you just have to know your prices?
Also, I"m not sure if you've changed this, but I"m pretty sure you can only order 2 gift cards per day. Because of this, I"m not sure how us swaggernauts would be able to get "to scoop up as many as 5". Did the daily limit change too?

I'm pretty disappointed to see that between the original posting time (when I myself blogged about the bargain, and posted about it on a few boards) and now the max quantity went down from 5 to 2...
Here I was thinking that this was a reward to those of us who save up their points, but chances are that between Nov 27th and January 1st anyone and everyone will be able to redeem two cards.

JPowell, there's always been a limit of 2 prizes a day, whether they're gift cards, posters, CD's, or whatever. The limit of 5 is of any specific prize in the store.

Well I just spent over 300 swagbucks on gift cards yesterday :/ I should have waited.
Most of us are assuming its going to be amazon, it might be amazon once, but not likely twice, are there are so many other giftcards. Even at teh lower prices, I doubt people will buy more drugstore or fragrance cards because no one buys anything but amazon, maybe a few itunes, so unless this is geared towards amazon cards, its useless to most of us as even at a discount, the other cards are likely still cost more than the $5 amazon cards. So unless the $50 amazon cards are at %50 or something drastic like that, count me out.
Its nice and all, but it wont likely be amazon like everyone is assuming/hoping, maybe once, maybe, but certainly not twice, so the limit, well, limits it to pretty much 2 amazon cards at a discount, and they might be teh $5 and not the higher ones.

Ya, I just blew 135 in the last 2 days on Gift cards also. You can cancel them before they're verified, but not after. I say you should be able to cancel anytime before they're actually posted to your account! Now I start from scratch when they're going "on sale"!! Planned?????????

It's hard to believe that Black Friday is just around the corner. The time has come by so quickly. We are less than a month away and shopping is already on the minds of many of us. Major retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Kmart, Target, Amazon, Ace, Apple, JC Penney's and more will be having their sales and you don't want to miss out on what they can offer.

Yes, they'll be cheaper..don't you think, Mr. Swag Guy, that in order for this promotion to truly live up to the billing "Awesome", you should also increase the amount we can buy in one day? By now most everyone is familiar with the term Black Friday 2009, the big shopping day right after Thanksgiving Day. Retail store, including Walmart, open their doors early and lure shoppers in with incredible bargains on certain merchandise. Like others on Thanksgiving Day, Walmart limits these sales to just a few hours, but the items are usually gone well before the deadline.
