Keep ‘Em Comin’!

Posted by on Mon, May 31st, 2010 at 5:00 pm

Thank you to all of the Swaggernauts who have been sending in questions – it makes Twitter Trivia even more fun when TSG can reward people for answers AND questions.

Keep sending me your questions – here are some guidelines for writing the perfect question:
1. Pick a theme
Your question can be about history, entertainment, music, sports, geography – anything, really.
2. Give the question four parts
If there’s one thing I know about Swaggernauts it’s that you’re quick to answer questions. Because of that, it always makes it more fun to have a four-part question. Make sure your questions have four parts.
So instead of: “What were the three ships Christopher Columbus used to sail to the new world?”
You might ask: “What were the three ships Christopher Columbus used to sail to the new world? What year did they leave? What year did they return? Who commissioned the trip?”
(Keep in mind that I may edit your questions down – after all, I only get 140 characters to ask them!)
This is a biggie. I know we all love Wikipedia, but the truth is that since their info can be edited by anyone it isn’t the most reliable, so even if that’s a starting point for you, find another reputable source to back you up. Just include a link in your email to your source(s). To repeat – DON’T USE WIKIPEDIA AS A SOURCE. Whatever site(s) you do use, please include them in your email!
This may seem like a lot of work but it really isn’t, and if I use your question I’ll hook you up with 100 Swag Bucks, just like that.
Send your questions to theswagyguy(AT) with “Twitter Trivia” in the subject line.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with, and remember, although I might not use your submission the week you send it, I frequently look through older submissions…
I’m looking forward to getting submissions from all of you!

Aloha Swagsters! Even though I am still relaxing in Hawaii I too plan to show my honor and respect to our American soldiers this weekend – by visiting Pearl Harbor and taking a tour of the Hickam Airforce Base. However, Memorial Day is more than a commemorate holiday to those lost in war and American […]

Poll Round-Up

Posted by on Mon, May 31st, 2010 at 11:00 am

Hey there Swaggernauts! It may be Memorial Day, but that can’t stop TSG from doing the weekly Poll Round Up – especially since I get to recap 7 polls instead of 5! This was a great week, too – I learned just how much you love searching to win those Swag Bucks and that many […]

It’s Music Monday, it’s Memorial Day, and that means that most of you are probably hosting or attending a BBQ. Here’s a song just for you BBQ fans out there (I may be crazy, but I think they favor Vinegar-based sauces): TSG

SwagTime is Back!

Posted by on Sun, May 30th, 2010 at 10:00 am

The other Lakers fans may call it Showtime, but you guys know that TSG does it a little differently. Kobe, Pau and the Zen master have guided the Lakers back into the NBA Finals for a rematch with the Celtics. We STILL remember ’08, Celts – it’s going to be a little different this time […]

Duh duh duh. Duh duh duh.

In case you’re wondering if TSG has lost his mind (or ability to speak English judging by the title of this blog post), the answer is a resounding “no”. That was actually my poort attempt to hum the theme music Sports Center, the innovative broadcast that has become synonymous with sports news. As you know, […]

Welcome Back, Manny!

Posted by on Sat, May 29th, 2010 at 1:00 pm

After a 19-game homerless drought Manny Ramirez finally snapped out of it at the perfect time – his go ahead two-run home run against Colorado last night was vintage Manny and helped my Dodgers beat the Rockies at Coors Field. The Dodgers are starting to get into the groove – here’s hoping it’s not much […]
