Carve A Pumpkin, Win Some Bucks
by TSG on Tue, October 12th, 2010 at 1:00 pm
TSG just wanted to remind you to get cracking on your entries for the Swagbucks Pumpkin Carving Contest! There’s still plenty of time to enter, and it can make for a fun family project – everybody works together to come up with a concept, sketch it out and then carve it into a pumpkin!
As a reminder, here’s how it works:
1. Get a pumpkin
2. Make a Swagbucks inspired carving – could be our Logo, me or TSGal or good ol’ Bux – or something even more creative. Can it have ghosts and ghouls and Frankensteins in it? Sure, as long as you visually relate them to Swagbucks in some way.
3. Take a picture of your creation and email it to Pumpkins(AT)Swagbucks.com along with your Swagbucks Username. You can pose with your pumpkin or not – up to you.
4. We’ll post valid submissions on our Flickr page, where you can comment on which photos you like.
5. We’ll select 5 finalists and put them in the blog on October 27th for you to vote on; on November 1st we’ll announce the winner of the 1000 Swag Buck first place prize.
I know, I said 1500 – so how do you earn that extra 500? Easy – purchase the Pumpkin Carving Stencil Set in the Swag Store’s Halloween section – if you’ve purchased that AND you win, you get an extra 500 Swag Bucks.
Just a few Don’ts for you:
DON’T send in pics of non-SB related carvings – while I’m sure they’re cool, they’re not really what this contest is about and they won’t be accepted as valid submissions.
DON’T digitally manipulate or photoshop your images – if you submit those kinds of pics, as creative as they are, we won’t accept them – we’re looking for people to get in there and do some carving. This also applies to painted pumpkins – we’re looking for the carved variety.
Thanks to those who have submitted so far – to the rest of you, get movin’!
