All I Want For Christmas Is You

As you gather around with your family this holiday we must keep in mind that not all families are so lucky. Sometimes family members don’t live close enough to one another to congregate for Hanukkah or Christmas, especially the ones that risk their lives for us everyday in uniform, as part of the U.S. Troops. Thousands of people are without their loved ones, moms, dads, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, etc., not only just on special occasions, but in regular, everyday life.

Sometimes soldiers are lucky enough to be pardoned for a few days, allowing them to spend quality time with their family. The touching video below shows the story of 3-year-old, Kensley, who only asked for two things for Christmas: a truck and her daddy. Grab your box of tissues as you prepare to watch the emotional reunion between Kensley and her dad, Sergeant Scott Penny.

If you are lucky enough to be surrounded by your family this holiday season, be sure to cherish it, because not everyone is as lucky as you are.
