Year in Review: TV
Hey Guys! Ashley from Team Swagbucks here. It’s time to check out the best TV of 2010!
I’m going to start with MY favorite TV show from 2010…Glee!
This one-hour musical comedy follows McKinley High School’s Glee Club lead by Spanish teacher, Will Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison. The Glee Club’s New Directions deal with the struggles and drama of high school, all the while working hard every week in order to make it to Nationals – a nationwide Glee Club competition. Each episode is jam packed with comedy, drama, and my favorite part, music! The New Directions perform at least three songs per episode, in which I always find myself singing along to. Catch Glee Tuesday nights at 8pm on FOX. Check out the Glee Swag that we have in the Swag Store!
ABC’s Modern Family certainly took off this year.
This comedy is a mockumentary that explores the many different variations of today’s “modern family.” The show follows couple Phil and Claire and their three kids: Haley, Alex, and Luke, gay couple Mitchell and Cameron and their adopted daughter, Lily, and multicultural couple Gloria and Jay and their son, Manny. This hit show airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ABC. Grab Season 1 at the Swag Store!
FOX introduced a new show this year that’s quickly become a hit. Raising Hope follows the Chance family as the learn to deal with the new and unexpected member of their already chaotic family, baby Hope. Catch it Tuesdays at 9pm on FOX.
2010 saw the fourth season of AMC’s Mad Men. Set in New York in the 1960s, this drama follows the competitive and provocative lifestyles of the men and women of Madison Avenue advertising. This series has won three consecutive Golden Globes, as well as back-to-back Emmys for Outstanding Drama. Check it out on Sundays at 10pm on AMC. Grab the show’s instrumental MP3 at the Swag Store.
On the thriller side of TV, Dexter remains one of the hottest shows. Based on Jeff Lindsay’s novels “Darkly Dreaming Dexter,” and “Dearly Devoted Dexter,” this crime thriller follows Dexter Morgan, a forensic blood spatter expert. He juggles his chaotic life between romance, nightlife, and hunting people down who have escaped justice to ensure that they do not get away with a crime again. Dexter airs sunday nights at 9pm on Showtime.
So Swaggernauts, what’s your favorite TV show?
Until next time,
