While he may not “write the songs that make the whole world sing” (that song was actually penned by Bruce Johnston), Barry Manilow is committed to helping the youth of world experience the pleasure of playing a musical instrument through his nonprofit Manilow Music Project. Barry is dedicated to putting musical instruments into the hands of middle and high school students around the country. The Manilow Music Project developed in response to the needs of local public schools and their severely depleted music programs.

Barry Manilow is gearing up for a serious of concerts in Florida where he will be performing backed by The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra at the end of this month. In conjunction with these appearances Barry is encouraging his fans to follow his philanthropic lead. Any new or gently used musical instrument can be exchanged at Amway Center Box Office for $20 discounts on tickets to see Barry’s January 20 Orlando performance! Additionally, each person donating an instrument will be entered into a sweepstakes for the opportunity to meet Barry Manilow in person.

Looking for a way to get involved with this worthy cause but not in the Orlando area? Simply sign up for our partner site, BarryManilowHomePage.com as Barry donates all his proceeds from this site to the Manilow Music Project. You can be raising money for musical instruments from the comfort of your own living room. There is even a sweepstakes where you can win a meet & greet with the man himself.

The Manilow Music Project continues to brighten the lives of children a little at a time. One day there will be a chicken in every pot and a trombone in every house.
