Put Me In, Coachella
Can you feel it in the air? It’s that time of year again. People from all over the country, but mostly from Los Angeles, head to the desert this weekend for three days of fun at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival . This year’s headliners include Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire and Kanye West but there is plenty else to choose from in the alternative music genre.
Right now there are 75,000 music fans waiting for the release of the set times for each band and corresponding stage assignments. One of my favorite activities is printing out the set times and highlighting each band I want to see to help plan out my day. It becomes a game of Mission:Impossible. For example, on Sunday can I see Plan B and OFF! and still get to CSS, She Wants Revenge and Best Coast?
Other important considerations if you are attending the concert include the weather (highs in the low 90s which isn’t bad considering you are in a desert), lodging (if you don’t have a room by now I hope you have a comfy car) and traffic (my tip, continue East on the 10 to the Jackson exit).
If you are not able to attend this year’s festival you are not completely out of luck. Besides saving money on sunscreen, you can get many Coachella-related items straight from the Swag Store:
- Coachella Posters on sale for 800 Swag Bucks.
- Coachella Stickers on sale for 149 Swag Bucks.
- Coachella Pins on sale for 199 Swag Bucks.
- Exclusive limited edition prints from past concerts including Coldplay and Jane’s Addiction (on sale for 99 Swag Bucks).
If you still want more but don’t have a ticket tune into the live webcast April 15 – 17.
So Swaggernauts, will I see you by the Tesla Coil?
