Cinco de Mayo!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

From deanwissing's photostream

Today we commemorate the Mexican Army’s unexpected victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

To those who are observing, have a happy, fun, and safe holiday!

I think today calls for a festive Swag Hunt…don’t you?

I have hidden 6 letters throughout the Swagbucks site.  Follow the directions carefully, and when you have all 6 letters, unscramble them to reveal your 10SB code that is valid until 9:00am PDT.  Good luck!

(Remember, if you are asked to search for something in the Swag Store or Swagstakes, your next clue, or letter, will be found in the description of one of the prizes from the search results.)

Step 1: First of all, in order to celebrate, we’re going to need a party “hat.”  Search for one in the Swag Store to find your first letter.

Step 2: On April 14, 2011, we wrote a post in the Blog that was a rip off.  The FIRST letter of that post is your second letter.

Step 3: Check out the Daily Poll from April 28, 2011.  The LAST letter of the QUESTION is your third letter.

Step 4: Search the Swagstakes for “Mexico” to find your fourth letter.

Step 5: Search for the number “5” in the Swag Store.  From here, find the only prize that is 219SB.  The FIRST letter of this item is your fifth letter.

Step 6: Finally, your sixth letter is the 9th letter of our alphabet.

Now that you have all of the letters, unscramble them to make a 6-letter, common word.  All of the letters are capitalized.

Note: It is against the rules to post active codes or give obvious clues, and doing so could result in deactivation.  The ONLY place you should be posting the code is in the “Gimme” box on the Swagbucks homepage.

Have fun!
