June Charity Drive: Wounded Warrior Project

First off, thank you to everyone who participated in our charity to drive to benefit Tornado victims – your efforts have resulted in a donation of $3098 being sent to the United Way of Western Alabama.

We’re going to be supporting another charity all through the month of June. In light of Memorial Day and the anniversary of D-Day on June 6th, we’re raising money for Wounded Warrior Project. Here’s more info on them:

Since 2005 there have been over 32,000 service men and women injured in the War on Terror and this number doesn’t include the 1 in 5 who returns home with PTSD or Major Depression. At Swagbucks, we have designated the month of June, positioned between Memorial Day and Independence Day, to honor those heroes who have dedicated their lives to making the world a safer place for us all!

With your help, we can fund a much-needed effort to heal wounds and provide relief to the thousands of service men and women who have been injured in the line of duty. All Swag Bucks we collect will go directly toward a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-partisan organization that helps wounded warriors returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan and provides assistance to their families. WWP’s vision is to foster a successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded warriors returning home from the war.

Members of the Swag Nation have stood up in force to help those suffering from the recent disasters and now we turn our attentions to those who have fought to protect our freedoms. Please consider donating your Swag Bucks to the Help Our Heroes Fund and give back to those who have sacrificed so much for you!
