Man’s Best Friend Needs Our Help
My favorite moment every day is walking up to my backdoor as I return home from a hard day’s work at Swag Central and hearing the jingle-jingle of Ladybug’s bell on her collar as she runs to greet me when I open the door. Ladybug is my cat, and like many of you I can’t imagine her not being a part of my family. Our pets, whether they be dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles or even pet rocks, bring so much joy into our lives. Swag Central is a dog-friendly office and I’m often sharing the conference room with Lennon, Sophie, Lucas, and Richell, which is why we are pleased to announce the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals as the charity recipient for the month of July with the Lend a Hand to Help a Paw Fund. (Thank you to everyone who donated to June’s Charity: Wounded Warrior Project. A total of 252,160 Swag Bucks were donated which converts to $1,942 for this worthy organization)
The ASPCA describes their mission as such: “As the first humane organization to be granted legal authority to investigate and make arrests for crimes against animals, we are wholly dedicated to fulfilling the ASPCA mission through nonviolent approaches. Our organization provides local and national leadership in three key areas: caring for pet parents and pets, providing positive outcomes for at-risk animals and serving victims of animal cruelty.” The ASPCA offers help in wide ranging areas, from information on how to start a shelter to what you should do if you find a lost or injured animal. They also offer advice on dealing with animal behavior problems, microchipping and free/low cost spay and neutering of pets, and information for reporting acts of animal cruelty. As one of their slogan says - Animals Can’t Dial 911.
We will be collecting Swag Buck donations through the end of the month at which time the total will be converted to a cash donation on behalf of the Swag Nation.
Lennon, Sophie, Lucas, Richell and Ladybug thank you.
