Music Monday – Your Song

Posted by on Mon, August 22nd, 2011 at 12:00 pm

Today’s Music Monday is a bit different.  I am a big fan of singing competition shows: American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The Voice, etc.  Being the huge fan that I am, I even stretch my horizons to watch singing competitions in other countries.  I’ve been keeping up to date on UK’s The X Factor for the past couple of years through YouTube (being that I cannot see the live broadcast in America).  This year, the one to watch is 16-year-old, Ireland native, Janet Delvin.  Here is a video of her singing Your Song by Elton John, which is the song she used for her audition where she blew all four judges away.

The mixture of her unique voice, her shyness, her beautiful accent, and her innocence makes this cover nearly perfect.  In fact, it gives me chills.

Pass it on!

Are you ready for your feel-good video of the day?  I used to love the movie Jumanji, and one of my favorite parts was the stampede.  I loved the little baby elephant that’s lagging behind – he was always my favorite.  But, this might be just a little bit cuter.  You decide: They’re so cute! ...
