Don’t you just love the weekends?  What’s your favorite thing to do during the weekend?  Sleep in late?  Spend time with the family?  Go for a nice run?  Let’s check out all the excitement from this past week at Swagbucks.

On Monday we started Merry Cinemas – the tournament to find the best holiday film of all time.  The first round started with A Christmas Story taking on A Christmas Carol and It’s A Wonderful Life taking on Miracle On 34th Street.  You guys voted by entering the codes representing the film of your choice, and A Christmas Story and It’s A Wonderful Life were our first two films moving on in the competition.

On Tuesday, Ashley and Nicole from Team Swagbucks premiered the new Swagbucks-themed talk show, SwagGab.  If you haven’t seen it yet you can watch it here and find out how you can win 1,000 Swag Bucks!  In the Merry Cinemas tournament, The Nightmare Before Christmas beat out Gremlins and Scrooged beat out Bad Santa.

On Wednesday, Eron from Team Swagbucks shared an article he recently wrote for Inc.com on the topic of “breakage.”  You may be unfamiliar with this term, but you have unquestionably been effected by it as it is a factor in nearly every single rewards, point, mileage, frequent buyer, and loyalty program in existence.  I highly suggest you give this article a read and leave your thoughts here.  In Merry Cinemas, Home Alone took the win over National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Elf kicked The Santa Clause out of the competition.

On Thursday we introduced the newest, Holiday edition Collector’s Bills.  Starting at noon PST on Monday you’ll be able to start collecting all five, and you have until 11:59pm PST on Monday, December 26th to win them all. I f you’re able to complete your collection, you’ll get an instant bonus of 12 Swag Bucks! Click here to get a sneak preview at the bills.  In the Merry Cinemas tournament, Eight Crazy Nights beat out Arthur Chrismtas and Deck the Halls beat out Fred Claus.

Yesterday we reminded and informed you of all of the craziness and excitement that will be happening all day on Monday.  We have a Swag Code Extravaganza, the launch of the Holiday Collector’s Bills, and Mega Match Monday!  What’s Mega Match Monday?  For any new referral you get starting yesterday through Monday, you’ll earn matching Swag Bucks on ALL of their Monday earnings (Swag Codes excluded) post-registration.  That means NOSO, Daily Polls, Special Offers, Games, SBTV, Surveys – they earn, you earn, with a cap of 1000 Swag Bucks per activity.  Click here to get a special sign-up code for to give your potential referrals an extra 60 Swag Bucks upon registration!  We also began the first round of the quarter finals of Merry Cinemas yesterday.  A Christmas Story went up against The Nightmare Before Christmas and It’s A Wonderful Life took on Scrooged.  Make sure you check back Monday to find out which two films will be continuing on in the competition.
