Happy first Saturday of 2012, Swaggnernauts!  How are you spending the first weekend of the new year?  Let’s jump into our week in review.

On Monday, after all of the fun and excitement of New Year’s Eve, I shared a fun Music Monday video that featured the top 25 hits of 2011.  From Pink to Adele, Maroon 5 to One Republic, Bruno Mars to Katy Perry, I’m willing to bet that at least one of your favorite songs has made its way into this awesome mashup made by DJ Earworm.  Click here to check it out.

On Tuesday we announced the charity for the month of January.  Last month, because of all of your generous donations, we sent almost $2,000 to the Make-A-Wish foundation to help children’s dreams come true.  This month we’re focusing on bringing the gift of literacy to at-risk and underprivileged children around the US.  Reading Is Fundamental, Inc or RIF is the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit children’s literacy organization.  They provide new, free books to at-risk children and stage fun activities to motivate them to read.  To donate click here, and track all contributions on our Official Charity Drive page.

On Wednesday we introduced the new Golden Ticket item for the month of January, as well as the new SWAGO items.  With a new year comes the need for a new calendar.  That’s why this month’s Golden Ticket item is the Winnie the Pooh Die Cut Tear Off Paper Calendar.  Perfect for the kids, this calendar helps to teach the value of organization, helps them outline their weeks, and count down the time to special events!  You can snag the calendar for 399 Swag Bucks, and if you’re lucky enough to find a Golden Ticket in yours, you will have gotten yours for just 50 Swag Bucks!  In addition to our Golden Ticket promo, every single item in our Hot Deals section of the Swag Store currently qualifies as a SWAGO game piece.  Get five in a row and you’ll win 1,000 Swag Bucks!

On Thursday Ashley from Team Swagbucks shared an adorably hilarious video of her little pup, Sophie, playing with her new best friend, Elizabeth the kitten.  If you haven’t checked it out yet, I suggest you do so – it’s a very creative video that will make you laugh, make you gasp, and make you say “awwwwwww!”  Click here and enjoy!

Yesterday we informed you that we have taken down game tournaments temporarily to make much needed upgrades.  But don’t worry – they’ll be back before you know it!  And make sure you stay tuned, as we’ll  be launching new games shortly, which means MORE opportunities for you to earn.  Happy Gaming!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
