Announcing the May Charity – Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund

Today was the last day to donate to April’s charity, Autism Speaks.  Being that last month was Autism Awareness month, we decided this was a great organization to team up with.  I am more than proud to say that a total of 183,555 Swag Bucks were donated thanks to our tremendously generous Swaggernauts.  On behalf of everyone here at Team Swagbucks, as well as the team behind Autism Speaks, we thank you.

Now that we are officially in the month of May, Memorial Day is only a few short weeks away.  We wanted to take all of this month to recognize those men and women who have served and sacrificed so much to keep our country safe.  Therefore, the charity for May is the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.  This is an independent non-profit organization that has been supporting the United States military and their allies by providing medical resources and financial support since 2000.  The Fallen Heroes Fund is an ongoing attempt to give something back to the heroes of the military that sacrifice so much to keep our country and its rights secure.  In its first five years of operation, The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund granted nearly $20 million to families of United States and British soldiers lost in the line of duty.  Since then, the Fund has focused on providing rehabilitation and necessary medical attention to those returning home.  With this goal in mind, the Fund has opened several state-of-the-art facilities to support and provide rehabilitation to those returning home with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), including the National Intrepid Center of Excellence.  This facility opened in 2010 and is already hard at work, researching new ways to treat and prevent TBI.

Please consider donating to this worthy cause.  The Swag Bucks you donate all this month will be turned into a cash donation, given directly to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.  Every Swag Buck you donate will help make life easier for those returning home from war and for the families of those soldiers who don’t.

Donate now by clicking here and keep track of the latest donations on our Swagbucks Charity Drive Page.

Thank you.
