Carousel Horse Race

When you’re at the carnival, no matter what city it’s in or what time of year it’s at, you’re sure to see the carousel.  It’s probably safe to say that everyone’s first ride was the Merry-Go-Round.  But today’s Friday Funny turns your typical carousel ride into a wild and exciting horse race.  ”Improv Everywhere is a New York City-based prank collective that causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places.  Created in August of 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has executed over 100 missions involving tens of thousands of undercover agents” (improveverywhere.com).  On this mission, a single jockey was joined by two announcers, a roaring crowd, and even a trumpeter.  The kids on the carousel had no idea what was going on.  It all went down at Le Carrousel in New York’s Bryant Park.

How fun!  This must have been so exciting for the kids riding the carousel!  I would have loved to be a spectator, as well.
