Happy Limerick Day!  Today we celebrate the birthday of writer Edward Lear (1812-1888) known for his literary nonsense and limericks.  Here’s a fun fact: Limerick is actually the third largest city in Ireland.  Take the day to sit down and read some fun and entertaining limericks, or even write one of your very own.  I’ll get you started with a limerick that I’ve written:

There once were a lot of Swaggernauts

Who certainly liked to snag a lot

we created a store

with prizes galore

So show off that shopping bag you got
