Record Breaking Olympians
The 2012 Summer Olympics begin this Friday! The Olympics are all about being the fastest, the strongest, and the most determined. It brings together the top champions from all over the world. I don’t know about you, but I certainly can’t wait for it to begin! To me, it’s impressing enough for anyone to even make it into the Olympics, but this gentleman takes the cake. At 70 years old, he is the oldest competitor, qualifying for a place in the London 2012 Games for equestrian riding. Hiroshi Hoketsu first broke the record for the oldest Japanese competitor back in Beijing when he was 67 years young. Check out this video from SBTV:
Good for him! He’s certainly much more athletic at his age that I am at my age. Maybe my athletic ability will grow with my age – fingers crossed!
