Charity Update – Donate Your Car
Last Friday, we sent our first round of donations to the American Red Cross to help those who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Thanks to your generosity, our first check was in the amount of $5456.35. You have until the end of the year to continue donating to the American Red Cross Superstorm Sandy Relief Fund, and at such a disastrous time, they can certainly use your help. I have been talking to some friends back East who are still without power. Just because the storm is over does not mean the after effects are, too.
The Humane Society of the United States, another charity that is currently accepting Swag Buck donations, is also accepting car vehicle donations. The HSUS receives, on average, 80 percent of the proceeds from donated vehicles sold at auction. By donating your vehicle, you’ll help pump much-needed dollars into their Pets for Life program to improve the lives of people and pets in under-served communities. The donation process is simple. Just enter the vehicle’s information online, or call 877-836-6674. They will schedule a time to have it towed at no cost to you. Your vehicle will be gussied up and sent to auction, and the title and sales paperwork will be taken care of for you. Your reward? In a few weeks, you’ll get a donation receipt for tax purposes.
In addition to the American Red Cross and The Humane Society of the United States, we have other charities still available for your donations until the end of the year. Spend your Swag Bucks on a charity you are passionate about. The Gavi Alliance, Smile Train, Unicef, charity:water, and/or Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund can all use your help.
Every Swag Buck counts.
