A Look Back at 2012: A Letter from the CEO

Dear Swaggernauts,

In what may become a Swagbucks tradition, I reflect on the year that passed during this holiday season. So I decided to go back to the post I penned a year ago and I’m happy to say that not only did many of my wishes come true but I think 2012 was even better than I had hoped for in every way. I hope that the last year has been kinder to all of you than you had expected as well.

Our family has grown here at the Swagbucks office: two team members got married, three engaged and six had new babies! It seems like these happy occasions attracted more Swaggernauts too. This year brought us more new users than ever before. From US to Canada, Australia to England and even as far as India. Our community continues to be as active as ever with over 1.2 million fans on Facebook. But in my book the single biggest reason for our success is quite simple: we listened to you.

We lowered prices on hundreds of prizes, added more earning opportunities, revamped our toolbar adding the swag code checker, launched our Shop & Earn channel allowing users to earn from their purchases online from top merchants like Walmart, Target and Amazon.

The results? It’s been a record year of Swag Bucks earned and prizes redeemed. We purchased diapers and clothes for our little ones, birthday and Holiday gifts for our friends and family. We saved up for trips or to simply catch up on some bills. We donated, more than ever before to even more causes than last year.

Those who entrusted their time and loyalty with us have been rewarded. It is a privilege to be able to touch people‚Äôs lives on a daily basis in such a real and powerful way in these tough times and we will honor our commitment to you – to make your time more rewarding. And we know there is still a ton more we can do so we won’t rest on our laurels.

I wanted to thank God and personally thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart for being part of this wonderful, caring and growing group of friends we lovingly refer to as the Swag Nation. Last but certainly not least, a big thank you to our team that comes to work every day with a smile – it’s such a pleasure to be in such a happy and constructive environment. The Swag Nation is a special group and we are here to stay.

Happy Swagging in 2013!
