Catching Ducks for 100 Swag Bucks

Happy Wednesday, Swag Nation!

Can you smell it? There’s another fun new game and another fun challenge for a shot to win 100 Swag Bucks afoot. Before we get to that, I want to thank Thera17 again for the great suggestion for last Weekend’s Game Challenge. I think many of us hadn’t played Monster Invasion in a while or hadn’t ever really challenged ourselves to do well at the game and it seemed like everyone had a lot of fun. If you weren’t with us over the weekend and haven’t tried it yourself, it’s a fun game and not a bad way to win some Swag Bucks.

I always look forward to seeing what you guys think of games and how well you do on challenges, but nothing makes me happier than when you guys work together. In the spirit of teamwork and random acts of kindness, if you gave someone a compliment, cheered someone on, helped someone, or even liked someone else’s comment in last Weekend’s Game Challenge, I hooked you up with 5 SB for each time I saw it happen.

Today’s game, Catch a Duck, has a really fun, cheeky(?) feel to it. It’s both a bit silly and a good challenge.

In Catch a Duck, you guide a cunning and quick fox through perils of the woods like wolves, bears, and hunters in his quest to… you guessed it… catch a duck! Catching ducks will require you to think quickly and pick a good, strategic path to your meal. Especially, if you want to collect all of the 3 stars on each level. Just click an area near the fox to get them to move to it as quickly as possible. You can view more of the map by clicking and holding to “grip” the map. You can also view useful information about your surroundings by holding your cursor over an area. This will let you know if the fox can walk through it or hide in it. This is good for things like hollow trees and certain bushy areas. Hiding in these spots can help you evade predators, collect stars, and get the drop on those ducks.

So what’s today’s challenge? Collect all 3 stars on any 3 levels of Catch a Duck and post a link to a screenshot of your level select screen in the comments. For each of these correctly filled out posts you make, you will have one entry in a raffle to win 100 Swag Bucks. You may enter as many times as you like with new screenshots showing different stars and level unlocks. You may wish to protect your screenshots by adding your Swag Name to it in a paint program. If you need an image hosting service, I recommend because it’s quick and easy. Three winners will be selected at random from all of today’s entries and announced in this blog post and on Twitter on Thursday.

You can also participate via Twitter by tweeting your screenshot @Swagbucks, along with your Swag Name and the hashtag #sbgames. You may place each entry both on Twitter and in the comments, but if you win from an entry placed on Twitter, you will win an additional 100 Swag Bucks.

So what do you think of Catch a Duck and today’s challenge? Easy? Difficult? Do you see the game more as an arcade game or a puzzle game? Did I use the word cheeky correctly?

I hope you all enjoy today’s game. Good luck and have fun!

Update: Congratulations to this week’s game challenge winners: majorwife, katie322, and JoannaDG!
