Swagbucks Is Here To Help – jill24295

Posted by on Fri, January 25th, 2013 at 12:00 pm

Here at Swagbucks, we pride ourselves on the ability to help our users.  Whether it’s using Swagbucks to save money on groceries, pay your bills, get your holiday shopping done, or just kill your boredom, we are happy to assist you in any way we can.  We love hearing from our Swaggernauts as they express their gratitude to us, because it reinforces why we are here in the first place.  Here is a wonderful testimonial sent in by one of our Swaggernauts, jill24295:

I first started getting involved with Swagbucks at one of the worst times in my husband’s and my life together. In August of 2011 we were struggling financially because of very unexpected circumstances beyond our control. My husband, Tim, had just lost his job as a firefighter/paramedic after 16 years on the job. He had been injured fighting a fire in July and when the doctor reported that he could no longer safely do the job without fear of further injury, the city immediately terminated his position with no offer of light duty or severance pay. Just like that he was out of a full time job, his benefits were gone and we had thousands in future medical bills facing us. Two weeks prior to his accident I had closed down the business I had run for 7 years due to the poor economic times and I had taken a part time job until I could transition back into the world of being an employee again for someone full-time. We figured we would be fine because his job would easily keep us afloat until that happened, but after Tim lost his job that part time job was all we had for income – about $150.00 per week before taxes. Our mortgage alone was $1300/mo. I quickly had to scramble to do whatever I could to bring in some extra income. Between August and October, I used Swagbucks as a diversion to keep my mind occupied so I wouldn’t dwell on what was almost too much to handle, but job hunting all the while. It took until October, but I landed two full time jobs – one with benefits for both of us. With Swagbucks I was still earning a few gift cards in what little free time I had, which helped us. When I got home from work each night I was usually too exhausted to sleep and used Swagbucks to slow my brain down enough to sleep – again earning a few more gift cards along the way to help out. 9 months later, my husband finally got his firefighter disability benefits and we began to see the light at the end of the tunnel and we began to catch up. My health was suffering and I had to drop one of the full-time jobs, but Tim had used this recovery time to go back to school and was now able to go back to work too. We had run through our savings and we were starting in our later years (I am 44 now, he is 56) all over again financially, but we had made it. Since then, with the help of swagbucks site, I have been able to earn enough in gift cards to buy the things that make life a bit easier, that we’d never be able to buy otherwise. Our Amazon.com gift cards have allowed us to buy everything from groceries to clothing to household items. There wouldn’t have been a Christmas this year without Swagbucks, since we make less than what we used to, but we are thankful to both have jobs, to be healthy again and to be able to pay our bills each month. As old bills get paid down (ie. we will get rid of our car payment this September) things get easier. When I tell people how wonderful your site is and what it did for us, I know many do not believe me completely, because so many people think that there just has to be a catch. There’s not. I have never found the Swagbucks team to be anything but above board, honest and polite. The few times things have gone wrong, I believe that customer service really did care and made an effort for me to make things right. All I can say, is that I am thankful I found you and I continue to be happy I’m here. Thanks for all you do.

What a wonderful story – nothing will stop you two!  I’m so thrilled that you are both feeling better and have been able to dig yourself out of a hole, with the help of Swagbucks.  Wishing you and your husband a successful, happy, and healthy 2013!

If you want to share your story, e-mail us at Contests@Swagbucks.com.  If we share your story in the blog, we’ll hook you up with 200 Swag Bucks!  Be sure to include your Swag Name, as well as a picture of yourself you wouldn’t mind sharing with the community.
We’re looking forward to hearing from all of you.  Happy Swaggin’!
