Zippin, Zappin, & Zoomin People Home for 100 Swag Bucks
Happy Wednesday, Swag Nation!
I hope you guys made it here Monday for Crazy 8s and all the crazy opportunities to earn. If you were here, gaming that day, you might have noticed it was extra rewarding. Speaking of extra rewarding, it was really cool to see some of the new words you guys learned over the weekend when we were playing Synonymous. I learned a new word too! “Pollyoptasaurus.” It means “Swaggernaut who won the Weekend Game Challenge on 7/7/13.”
Today we’re playing what I feel is our most arcadey game. It’s also one of our highest rated! Zip Zap!
If you’re into zapping aliens and giving people rides home, this game is for you. (Shout out to Team Swagbucks member Becky who gave me a ride home last week after our 4th of July BBQ). In Zip Zap, you take control of a gunship battling an alien invasion near one of the Swag Nation’s treasured space colonies. I think that’s ours. The neighboring companies have really similar looking space colonies. Anyway, use the arrow keys (or WASD) to navigate your ship around incoming enemy spacecraft and shoot down as many as you can using Z or M to fire. As you zap your way through the incoming hordes, you’ll see that some of the aliens are trying to make off with our employees. At least, I think those are ours… Anyway, please pick them up and give them a ride back to the colony. They give you lots of points for this and if you don’t, it’s gonna be a long walk home.
So what’s today’s challenge? Get a score of over 50,000 in Zip Zap, take a screenshot proving it, and post a link in the comments for this blog post along with which Team Swagbucks member you think you might be quickest to save and why (you don’t have to know by name) or a tip (Keep it clean, please). You can take a screenshot of the final score screen or of your tournament entry or your highest score on your My Games page. For each of these correctly filled out posts you make, you will have one entry in a raffle to win 100 Swag Bucks. You may enter as many times as you like with new screenshots showing different scores. You may wish to protect your efforts by adding your Swag Name to it in a paint program. If you need an image hosting service, I recommend tinypic.com because it’s quick and easy. Three winners will be selected at random from all of today’s entries and announced in this blog post and on Twitter on Thursday.
You can also participate via Twitter by tweeting your screenshot @Swagbucks, along with your Swag Name and the hashtag #sbgames. You may place each entry both on Twitter and in the comments, but if you win from an entry placed on Twitter, you will win an additional 100 Swag Bucks.
Just like the last few Game Challenges, when you go to play Zip Zap today, you’ll see a special 24 hour tournament just for today’s Game Challenge. Enter that and use your entry for the Game Challenge for a chance to make it even more rewarding.
Good luck and have fun!
Update: This weeks winners are ndmom, Super1958, & Cadaverouz. Congratulations!!
Coming back Saturday for the Weekend Challenge and don’t forget you can always try your hand at winning 100 SB by submitting a Game Challenge of your own!
