Game of Challenges: A Song of Snow & Burney
Happy Weekend, Swag Nation!
Good to see you all here. Hopefully, you all enjoyed Wednesday’s choice of challenge. We’re keepin’ the choices flowin’ this weekend with a choice of opposites.
This weekend’s choice is pretty simple: keep the snow falling and the school closed in Snow Day or set the world ablaze in Burney. Something tells me the protagonists of these games wouldn’t get along very well. Then again, I’m sure Burney would have a few ideas of his own to keep the school closed.
In Snow Day, use the arrow keys to guide Frosty McGillicutty side to side. Click and hold the mouse button to charge up throws. Release to launch an ice cube in the air. Hit clouds at the top of your throw to make it snow and earn points. Earn more points by hitting multiple clouds at once and hitting higher clouds. Keep it snowing because if too many clouds go by without a little snow, the game is over and Frosty’s back to school. Scores equal to or higher than 5,500 will be accepted for this weekend’s challenge.
In Burney, there’s only one button necessary: the space bar. Use the spacebar to jump at the right time and set Burney on the best path for maximum destruction. Trees burn up nicely, but the real points are in explosives. For this weekend’s challenge you will need a score equal to or higher than 500. What’s the best score on Burney you’ve ever managed?
So what’s this Weekend’s Game Challenge? Get a challenge meeting score in any of the games above and post a link to a screenshot of your challenge-meeting score in the comments for this blog post. Alternatively, you can take a screenshot of a tournament entry from this weekend with any score on any game. For each of these correctly filled out posts, you will have one entry in a raffle to win 200 Swag Bucks. You may enter as many times as you like with new screenshots of different challenge-meeting scores. One winner will be selected at random from each day of entries and announced in this blog post and on Twitter on Monday. That means, if you enter on Saturday, you can come back Sunday to enter again and be part of a new raffle. If you need an image hosting service, I recommend tinypic.com. The link you want is the URL.
You can also participate via Twitter by tweeting your screenshot @Swagbucks along with your Swag Name and the hashtag #sbgames. You may place each entry both on Twitter and in the comments, but if you win from an entry placed on Twitter, you will win an additional 100 Swag Bucks.
Just a few days until Christmas and I’m wondering what your holiday plans are! Let us know what you’re up to, who’s comin’ over, where you’re headed, what you’ve already done, fun holiday and winter traditions, all the good stuff! Personally, I grew up with both Hanukkah and Christmas and I love it all. Nothin’ like a glass of eggnog to go with your latkes. Share your holiday plans, traditions, or memories with your entries and if you are one of this weekend’s lucky winners, you will win an additional 25 Swag Bucks.
Speaking of winning Swag Bucks, you have just over one week left to enter The Really Big Regate Tournament where you can win up to 6000 Swag Bucks and 270 entries into the PlayStation 4 AND Xbox One Swagstakes. What a way to end 2013 and begin 2014 that would be!
Good luck. Have fun. Have a delightful weekend!
Update: This weekend’s winners are BaronessVonSwag and SueT50! Congratulations!
Don’t forget: You can still earn yourself 100 swag Bucks by submitting a game challenge of your own!
