Saturday Do-It-Yourself: Wine Bottle Vases!
Happy Weekend, Swagvillians! With Christmas in the rear view and New Year’s Eve right around the corner, there’s a good chance you’ll have some wine bottles to discard. But, thanks to Haileighsmom5509, you can use those empty bottles to make yourself a fun vase! Read more below…
Ever wonder what to do with empty wine bottles? Look no further. All you need is an empty wine bottle, some sticks, some flowers, and a hot glue gun.
First you’ll want to either have some origami paper or just cut the paper into squares to fold paper cherry blossoms. For instructions on how to make cherry blossoms you can go to http://origami-instructions.com/origami-cherry-blossom.html.
After making however many flowers you want, grab a hot glue gun, a stick (I just went outside and grabbed some from our yard) and your wine bottle. Place the stick into the wine bottle(I did wash the bottle out with some dish soap and let it dry) and start gluing your flowers to the stick. Let the glue cool and voila you have a nice vase to decorate your home with.
Thanks for this clever idea, Haileighsmom5509! We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe New Year’s celebration – no matter what you’re doing! We’ll see you in 2014 with more great DIY ideas!
