How Swagbucks Works For Me – AngieMac518

Our Swaggernauts come from all walks of life and have unique stories.  And we love reading them all and sharing as many as we can!  Today we meet angiemac518,  from Compton, IL.  Read how she’s been able to make some extra money, while staying home to take care of her husband.

I imagine you hear a lot of stories about how Swagbucks has helped improve people’s lives.  And the truth is, it does!  Some people may not believe that something that seems so small could have such a large impact on others lives.  But the reality is, for some of us, it’s a gigantic difference.  Not only in the money aspect, but in helping to hang onto our self-esteem.

I used to work a full time job, making fairly decent money. Then I met a wonderful man and got married to him.  He had a great job so I was able to quit mine and open a small gift shop in our area.  Unfortunately, due to the economy, etc. we had to close three years later, but still we were fine, he had a great job.  Until he went to work one day and found out they were closing.  The boss had passed and his wife ran the company for several years, but it was just more than she could handle being an elderly lady.

So he was without a job.  He began sending out resumes.  And then we noticed his health was deteriorating.  He was diagnosed almost a year later with Multiple Sclerosis.  His symptoms are bad enough he is unable to work, and I stay home now to make sure he’s ok. I sell on eBay to supplement disability.  This is where Swagbucks came in!  My sister actually discovered it first and told me I needed to try it.  I admit I was skeptical at first…why would anybody give away free money basically?  But then I got my first $5 gift card and realized it’s REAL!

Last year I was able to buy my kids and grandkids nice Christmas presents, thanks to Swagbucks!  Or to have a gift card when you need it to buy those necessities that you have to have.   It makes a huge difference to be able to feel I am taking care of my husband, but still able to contribute financially to my household.  So thank you Swagbucks for giving me this opportunity to help take care of my family!

Thank you for sharing your story with us, AngieMac518!  We’re happy your sister shared her love of Swagbucks with you!  And we hope your husband is doing well!  Here’s another 500 Swag Bucks for you!
