Music Monday – Very Superstitious?!

by Team Swagbucks on Mon, January 27th, 2014 at 11:30 am

We put another week in the books and now it’s time to get this new week started on the right foot with some Music Monday!

Did you know that on this day 41 years ago (January 27, 1973), Stevie Wonder scored his second No. 1 single in the US?  The song?  Superstition.  Such a classic tune and beat.  And if you watched the Grammys last night, you know that Stevie hasn’t lost a beat and can still throw it down.  Check out this performance of “Get Lucky” with Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers and and prepare to be amazed.

Music Monday Trivia Question: Who created the original drum beat for “Superstition” and which group did he first play with?

We have our winners!  Jeff Beck created this beat and the first group he played with was the Rumbles in 1963.  Congrats to Camned, yikes77 and redlocksmahan

Music Monday Discussion Question: Do you have any interesting, weird or unique superstitions?

Thank you all for your great comments and sharing your superstitions!  Congrats to RVmama, jmorty732 and jcpilz!  Check your ledger and you’ll find 25 more SBs!

Enjoy!
