Happy Book Club Friday!  (of course every Friday is Book Club Friday here at Swagbucks!)

Have you checked out our new Read section?  If you haven’t visited it yet you definitely want to put it on your To Do List.  And if you visited earlier this week it pays to return as there are brand new earning opportunities available!  Reminder: To find out how to earn Swag Bucks on that given visit – place your cursor over the book image and read the revealing text.  It will let you know how many Swag Bucks are available for what action.  (Learn more about Read here)  These are simple earning opportunities as well as great ways to learn about new books!  If you have friends who enjoy reading this could be a great way to get them signed up for Swagbucks and you start earning referral SB! (More info on earning from Referrals can be found here)

Thank you to everyone who gave feedback last week on what time works best for them to meet with the Swagbucks Book Club.  We are investigating various options but you can continue to find us here in the blog every Friday at 10am PT/1pm ET with discussion continuing through the weekend until further notice.

Now to announce the winning title for our May reading selection:

Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler

Eighty-nine-year-old Isabelle McAllister has a favor to ask her hairdresser Dorrie Curtis. It’s a big one. Isabelle wants Dorrie, a black single mom in her thirties, to drop everything to drive her from her home in Arlington, Texas, to a funeral in Cincinnati. With no clear explanation why. Tomorrow.

Dorrie, fleeing problems of her own and curious whether she can unlock the secrets of Isabelle’s guarded past, scarcely hesitates before agreeing, not knowing it will be a journey that changes both their lives.  Isabelle confesses that, as a willful teen in 1930s Kentucky, she fell deeply in love with Robert Prewitt, a would-be doctor and the black son of her family’s housekeeper–in a town where blacks weren’t allowed after dark. The tale of their forbidden relationship and its tragic consequences makes it clear Dorrie and Isabelle are headed for a gathering of the utmost importance and that the history of Isabelle’s first and greatest love just might help Dorrie find her own way.

You can purchase the paperback at Target for $11.99.  Click here to go through Swagbucks Shop & Earn to purchase and you will earn 2 SBs per dollar.  Don’t want to wait for it to ship?  Try their in-store pick up!   Join us Friday, May 30th when we discuss this title.

Today’s Discussion Question: What book is on your nightstand right this minute?

Leave your responses in the comments below and on Monday, May 12th I will randomly choose 3 people to award with 25 Swag Bucks!  Not a bad way to start the week!
