Help The Friendship Circle

Posted by on Tue, July 6th, 2010 at 1:00 pm

Chase Bank is once again helping local charities with a donation of $250,000 through a promotion where YOU decide who gets the money. It’s called Chase Community Giving, and for us it’s an opportunity to help one of our favorite local charities, Friendship Circle.
You may recall that a while back we did something similar through Chase. In case you weren’t with us then or need a refresher, here’s a little more about the charity:

Friendship Circle‘s mission is to raise funds for The Friendship Circle and the South Bay education system. The Friendship Circle: An organization devoted to making a dramatic difference in the lives of children with special needs and their families through one-on-one peer mentoring and social recreational programming. Education Foundations: Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Redondo Beach and Palos Verdes. The Foundations use these funds to retain vital curriculum, maintain smaller class sizes, upgrade technology and develop high-quality programs not provided by the state.

As of this post, Friendship Circle has 813 votes. The more votes we get, the more Swag Bucks YOU get.
Confused? Allow TSG to explain:
The code *** CODE HAS EXPIRED *** is active for the next 24 hours. Currently, it’s only worth 1 Swag Buck. However, the more votes Friendship Circle gets, the more valuable the code becomes. Go ahead and redeem the code now – we’ll be able to credit you the difference later.
If they get 5000 votes, the code will be worth 5 Swag Bucks
If they get to 10000 votes, the code will be worth 10 Swag Bucks
If they get 15000 votes, the code will be worth 15 Swag Bucks
If they get 20000 votes or more, the code will be worth 20 Swag Bucks
Voting closes this Saturday, July 13th, so vote now and encourage your friends to do the same. Here’s how you vote:
1. Click this link, which takes you to Friendship Circle’s voting page on Facebook.
2. Click the green “Get Started To Vote” button. This will trigger a little popup window – click “Allow”.
3. You will be asked to become a fan of Chase Community Giving – once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to vote!
4. Cast your vote for Friendship Circle! You’ll be given the option to share with your community – it’s a great way to get more votes, but not a requirement.
This is brought to you in part by Skechers Pier 2 Pier Walk, another great local charity.
Thanks for your help – now get out there and Rock the Vote!
