Happy Wednesday, Swag Nation!
Now that sounds familiar! I hope you guys have been enjoying your daily game challenges. I know that it’s a bit bittersweet as we may be having our last challenges on these games, but we will most certainly be keeping some or bringing them back if they need to leave for a bit. If you don’t already know, you can help with this by voting for your favorites here. One question that keeps coming up is “If my favorite game is not on that list, does that mean it’s leaving?” The answer is no. That list is made up of some of the most popular Mochi games on the site. We are working to secure the games we currently have available, but in order to make the poll reasonable, we limited the options to 10. If you’d like to leave a comment about what other games are important to you, we will most certainly take it into consideration.
For today’s two games, I thought we could do a couple remaining Swaggernaut submitted challenges…
Swag Name: veggiemarjie
Location: USA (My mama always told me not to be more specific than this when I chat/blog online).
Length of SB Membership: as of 1/5/14, a little over 2 months
Favorite Way to Earn: tournament games
Challenge Game: Falling Leaves Four In a Row
Challenge Score:12,040Any Score
Challenge Tip: For more points, try to win with MORE than 4 in a row (like 5 or 6 leaves in a row). Alternatively, try to win in more than one way: for example, with 2 intersecting lines of 4 leaves in a row.
Optional Something Fun About Me: I once took a quiz, in a popular women’s fashion magazine, that divided all women into the 4 seasons, and I was told that my season was “fall” because these colors look best on me. I agree. So not only is fall my best fashion “season,” but it’s probably also my favorite season in terms of its beautiful colors and weather: better than the pollen allergies of spring, the snow and freezing coldness of winter, and the sweltering heat of the summer.
Swag Name: apk1987
Location: Ford City, PA
Length of SB Membership: 1 month
Favorite Way to Earn:Games
Challenge Game:Match n’ Dig
Challenge Score:5,000Any Score
Challenge Tip: Since having blocks on top of you is just as bad as having the ceiling get you, it’s a good idea to take out the blocks that are on the opposite side of the screen from you as much as you can, or the stack will eventually tip over. (If you do have blocks on you, get them off as fast as you can!) On the other hand, keep moving downward as much as you can – the whole point is to outrun the ceiling.
Optional Something Fun About Me: I have released an album of techno/trance music online (as a digital download only) under the name LX Prime.
This you, apk1987? That link is to an album put out in 2011, but if you want to hear apk1987’s latest hotness, you’ll want climb aboard the Windrammer right here. Reminds me of one of my favorite classic video game soundtracks, Streets of Rage. Cool, man! Thanks for sharing! Veggie, I’m pretty sure I’d be an Autumn too. If not, I’m forcing it on everyone anyway.
So what’s today’s challenge? Get any score equal on Falling Leaves Four In A Row or Match n’ Dig , take a screenshot, and post a link in the comments for this blog post. Alternatively, you can take a screenshot of a tournament entry from today with any score on any game. For each of these correctly filled out posts you make, you will have one entry in a raffle to win 200 Swag Bucks. You may enter as many times as you like with new screenshots showing different scores. You may wish to protect your efforts by adding your Swag Name to it in a paint program. If you need an image hosting service, I recommend tinypic.com because it’s quick and easy. Six winners will be selected at random from all of today’s entries and announced in this blog post and on Twitter on Thursday.
You can also participate via Twitter by tweeting your screenshot @Swagbucks, along with your Swag Name and the hashtag #sbgames. You may place each entry both on Twitter and in the comments, but if you win from an entry placed on Twitter, you will win an additional 100 Swag Bucks.
Today’s challenge doesn’t require any particular score, but if you manage to get a score higher than apk1987’s 5,000 on Match n’ Dig or veggiemarjie’s 12,040 on Falling leaves Four in a Row, you will win an additional 25 Swag Bucks if you are one of our six lucky winners.
Good luck and have fun!
Update: Today’s winners are jeknee88, alliwog, kamanjah, thisischerry, yellowstar, & ShadowWolf87 -Congratulations! New Challenge already in the blog!
I always enjoy when you guys share your stories and hidden talents. Thank you so much to all of you joining us for some fun and sharing what you will. It’s really favorite part of hosting these.
Don’t forget: You can still earn yourself 100 swag Bucks by submitting a game challenge of your own!
