Activity from #GivingTuesday

If you weren’t already aware, today is the second annual #GivingTuesday. Started by the United Nations and the 92nd Street Y, #GivingTuesday is about using technology to band together and make an event out of giving back. Make people stop and reflect on what we have to be thankful for and how we all can give back by taking part and spreading the word about what you do to give of yourself and the like minded organizations you like to support.
One way you can participate in #GivingTuesday is to take an #UNselfie. Post a picture of yourself with a caption about how or why you’re giving this year and include the hashtags #UNselfie and #GivingTuesday and share it with your friends!
Another great way you can always be giving is to donate your Swag Bucks to the charity of your choice. The Swag Nation has donated over 2,060,775 Swag Bucks to charity this year alone. Each Swag Buck donated is turned into a cash donation of $0.01.
Some of you may be wondering about how much money has been raised for the Super Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund. So far, you have donated 274,895 Swag Bucks, a donation of $2,748.95. This amount continues to grow and there’s no day like today to give back and help it along.
You can read more about #GivingTuesday and follow along with related events by checking out the #GivingTuesday Community page and following them and the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #UNselfie on both Facebook and Twitter.
Let us know what you’re doing to give today and this holiday season by tweeting us @Swagbucks using the hashtag #GivingTuesday and we’ll RT and hook up 5 members with 25 SBs!
