I’m a creep!

Posted by on Tue, February 22nd, 2011 at 2:00 pm

When I woke on Friday morning of last week, my Facebook feed was filled with “Is the Radiohead leak legit,” status updates, and the Dropbox I belong to was going crazy with banter about the new album, King of Limbs. I have never been much of a fan of Thom Yorke’s voice or really any of the music that Radiohead has ever put out. I also acknowledge that they are the most popularly coveted band of my generation and in general I’d like to think that most people have a pretty distinguished thought about why they choose to listen to the artists they do. So today I am calling on Swag Nation to help me have a greater understanding of why everyone loves Radiohead so much. Share your most memorable Radiohead moment with me in the comments here or at the very least tell me what your favorite song is and why.

Important Note: I love Thom’s dancing in the video for “Lotus Flower,” he seems so full of pizzaz and comedy, shedding new light of the somber song — and spawning my own curiousity for why I can’t ever seem to be interested in their music. If you haven’t seen the video yet, check it out now:

So, although I am not a huge fan of Radiohead, I did happen to find a beautiful cover of “Creep” by Ingrid Michaelson. I think if she covered all of their songs, I’d be a big Radiohead follower. You can now download Michaelson’s cover of “Creep” in the Swag Store for 199SB.

Until Next Time,
Julianna

When Josh and Meghan left their hometown and traveled to Nashville in order to enhance their music careers, I doubt either one of them thought they’d be falling in love and topping the Billboard charts with their first album release. The real life couple was discovered during CMT’s, Can You Duet, and they won! I ... Read More »
