Exactly 46 years ago today, this album went to number 1 on the US Album Chart. This LP by Frank Sinatra went on to be the most successful being certified Platinum for 1 million copies sold in the US. The title track would earn him two Grammy awards for Record Of The Year and Best Male Vocal Performance” (ThisDayInMusic.com). This song was originally composed by Avo Uvezian as “Broken Guitar” and later re-badged by Bert Kaempfert with English lyrics by Charles Singleton and Eddie Snyder. However, the song was only made popular in 1966 with Frank Sinatra’s version. Here is Strangers In The Night.
