Posted by on Mon, December 31st, 2012 at 9:00 am

Does everyone have fun plans to ring in the New Year tonight?  I will be attending a party around the corner at my friend’s house – I like to celebrate within walking distance so I can avoid the dangerous roads.  I hope everyone had a wonderful 2012 – what was the highlight of your year?  My highlight of 2012 was hitting over 1 million fans on our Facebook Page – I love to see Swagbucks grow and welcome more and more Swaggernauts into Swag Nation!  Have a great time tonight, stay  safe, and enjoy this beautiful rendition of Auld Lang Syne performed by Lea Michele.

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone, it’s Ashley.  I am currently in Arizona visiting my family for the holidays.  Last night, we went to the Phoenix Zoo for the ZooLights exhibit.  It was such a beautiful and festive experience.  You walk around the zoo and there are thousands of lights around you, either covering the trees or shaped into […]

Music Monday – Carol of the Bells

Posted by on Mon, December 17th, 2012 at 9:00 am

One of my favorite holiday songs of all time is Carol of the Bells.  It’s an absolutely beautiful song that can’t help but get you in the holiday spirit.  The first time I heard it this year, I was actually in the mall getting some holiday shopping done.  I stopped mid-walk to listen to the […]

It’s December!  The holidays are around the corner.  I love this time of year – going out and seeing everyone’s lights up around the neighborhood, enjoying company by the fireplace, watching the snow fall (if you’re lucky enough to live in a city that gets snow), and listening to holiday music.  Since I was a […]

Music Monday – The Supremes

Posted by on Mon, November 19th, 2012 at 9:00 am

I remember watching Glee a couple of years ago with my girlfriends, in the episode where Diana Agron did a rendition of “You Keep Me Hangin’ On by The Supremes”.  My friends and I got off the sofa and danced around the living room like we were at the disco.  Exactly 46 years ago today, this […]

Music Monday – Like A Virgin

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty well-versed in the world of Madonna.  I can remember driving down the street with my girlfriends, top down, big hair blowing in the breeze, and Madonna blasting through the speakers of my classic VW Bug convertible.  Madonna’s second studio album, Like A Virgin, was released exactly 28 […]

Exactly 29 years ago today, “Uptown Girl” by Billy Joel was holding steady at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart and number 3 on the US Singles Chart.  “This song was the second biggest selling single of 1983 in the United Kingdom behind only Culture Club’s “Karma Chameleon“, which Joel had knocked off the number […]

Music Monday – Red Red Wine

Posted by on Mon, October 15th, 2012 at 9:00 am

Exactly 24 years ago today, UB40 reached number 1 on the the US singles chart with their version of the Neil Diamond song ‘Red Red Wine.’  One of my favorite songs to sing Karaoke to, the lyrics are sung from the perspective of someone who finds drinking red wine the only way to forget a lost love.  Here […]
