Happy Wednesday, Swag Nation!

After a weekend of Oscars and odd uses of ketchup, we’re back with another fun challenge and another chance to win 100 Swag Bucks or more. Before we get to today’s challenge, anyone try that french toast with ketchup business? Now that we know who won, did your favorite movies get picked or were there some letdowns? Come to think of it, I was a bit surprised Gravity didn’t win best picture, but I haven’t seen many of the movies nominated this year so what do I know. Perhaps we’ll discover why Gravity didn’t win as we navigate space in today’s choice of challenge:

Blinky Smash

Select your alien and use the arrow keys to move side to side, dodging incoming meteors and activating your shield with the spacebar to vaporize anything that comes too close. The minimum score you will need for today’s challenge is 1,000.

Project Omega

Use the arrow keys to guide your spaceship through a challenging cavern filled with enemy spacecraft, obstacles, and power-ups. Fire your weapons with W. Change weapons with A and D. The minimum score you will need for today’s challenge is 6,000.

Zip-Zap

Control your ship with the arrow keys or ASWD and fire your weapon with Z or M as you fight off incoming alien forces that want to turn humans into cyborgs. Pick up humans left stranded and return them to base for more points. The minimum score you will need for today’s challenge is 30,000.

So what’s today’s challenge? Get a score equal to or higher than any of those listed above, take a screenshot, and post a link in the comments for this blog post. For each of these correctly filled out posts you make, you will have one entry in a raffle to win 100 Swag Bucks. You may enter as many times as you like with new screenshots showing different scores. You may wish to protect your efforts by adding your Swag Name to it in a paint program. If you need an image hosting service, I recommend tinypic.com because it’s quick and easy. Three winners will be selected at random from all of today’s entries and announced in this blog post and on Twitter on Thursday.

You can also participate via Twitter by tweeting your screenshot @Swagbucks, along with your Swag Name and the hashtag #sbgames. You may place each entry both on Twitter and in the comments, but if you win from an entry placed on Twitter, you will win an additional 100 Swag Bucks.

Bonuses

If your entry shows a tournament score in any tournaments for today’s featured games or you include a comment with one of your favorite movies, TV shows, or characters about or from space or aliens and why it’s a favorite or your own perspective on the possibility of alien life, if you are one of today’s lucky winners, you will receive an additional 25 Swag Bucks.

I really appreciate you guys helping each other and sharing your thoughts. Definitely some fun movies mentioned. I really like Star Wars, but a cool space movie I really enjoy that not many have seen is Solaris (2012). If any of you check it out, come back and let us know what you think in upcoming challenge.
