Everything You Need To Know About The Birthday But Were Afraid To Ask

Posted by on Fri, February 22nd, 2013 at 12:00 pm

With Swagbucks’ 5th Birthday Blowout officially 3 days away, it’s time to ramp up your excitement, as well as get down to the nitty gritty of how it all will work.  I’m here today to answer frequently asked questions, as well as questions that you may not have even thought of yet.

When does the birthday start?

-Our 5th birthday begins Monday, February 25th, at 12:00:01 am PST, and continues through until 11:59pm PST.

Where is the celebration?

-The celebration will be happening all over the Swagbucks site. To RSVP, invite your friends, find Swag Codes, and watch the progress of everyone’s earnings, you’ll want to visit this page constantly throughout the day.

How can I qualify for one of the five $1000 CASH prize giveaways?

-If this is the first time you’re hearing about the 5 $1000 CASH prize giveaways, yes it’s true!  To qualify for one of the giveaways, you need to have RSVP’d to the birthday, as well as contribute at least 1 Swag Buck to each of the 5 earning categories that are included in the birthday puzzle.  One Swaggernaut who just RSVP’d will be awarded with $1000 and 4 Swaggernauts who have RSVP’d and contributed Swag Bucks will be awarded with $1000! The first winner will be announced in the blog at 10am PST and the remaining winners will be announced throughout the day in the blog.

How does the Birthday Puzzle work?

-There are 5 ways to contribute Swag Bucks to the Birthday Puzzle: through Search, Special Offers, Surveys, SBTV, and Invite & Earn. We are going to ensure that every one of you will be able to contribute at least one Swag Buck in all 5 of these earning categories on our birthday.  You are all working together as one big team.  Your goal is to earn enough Swag Bucks in each of these categories in order to reveal the puzzle that is underneath the numbered squares. You can see that each earning category has a corresponding color, with 5 squares each numbered 1 through 5.  These represent which square will flip over upon earning enough Swag Bucks collectively.  If you look to the right of the puzzle, you will see 5 meters, each corresponding to a specific earning category.  These meters are broken up into 5 sections, which represent earning tiers.  Once you’ve earned enough Swag Bucks in an earning category tier, the corresponding square will flip over to reveal a piece of a bigger puzzle you’ll need to solve.  For example, if you’ve collectively earned enough Swag Bucks in Search to fill up tier 1 of the Search meter, the Search square labeled 1 will flip over.  The goal is to earn enough Swag Bucks collectively that all the squares flip over and the bigger puzzle underneath is revealed.

How do I contribute Swag Bucks through Invite & Earn?

-First of all, you can find our Invite & Earn feature on the left side of the Swagbucks homepage. You will see a big green tab that says “Invite Your Friends and Earn.” Upon clicking, you will be directed to our Invite & Earn page. On the day of our birthday, you can contribute Swag Bucks by inviting your friends through Facebook (e-mail invites will not count). You will earn 1 Swag Buck for the first invitation you send. Your friend DOES NOT need to sign-up for Swagbucks in order to earn your 1 Swag Buck, however, remember that up until the end of the month you will earn matching Swag Bucks on all of your referrals, up to 1,000 Swag Bucks each, for ALL earning categories.

How will I find Swag Codes on the birthday?

-As we’ve promised, you will have the opportunity to earn up to 135 Swag Bucks just through Swag Codes alone on our birthday.  All of these Swag Codes will be revealed on our Birthday Blowout page.  As we mentioned above, your goal is to flip over all of the squares on the puzzle.  Once a square flips over, a Swag Code will appear ON THAT SQUARE.  This code will be active for 30 MINUTES from the time the square is flipped.  After the 30 minutes are up, that square will disappear and reveal a piece of the bigger puzzle that lies underneath.  It is beneficial for you to be active on our birthday page for as long as possible on Monday, February 25th, as there’s no telling when the next square will flip over, revealing the next active code.  The quicker you earn, the quicker all of the Swag Codes will be released.

Why should I attend Swagbucks’ 5th Birthday Blowout?

Well that’s just a silly question!  Why wouldn’t you attend Swagbucks’ 5th Birthday Blowout?  Monday, February 25th is going to be one of the most exciting days our site will see all year!  In addition to all of the fun you will have, you have the opportunity to earn up to 135 Swag Bucks just through Swag Codes alone!  Believe me, you certainly don’t want to miss this one!

Question wasn’t answered?  Leave it in the comments below!

Lastly, throughout the day on our birthday, we want to hook you up with 25 Bonus Swag Bucks!  To qualify, tweet to @Swagbucks and let us know why you’re celebrating Swagbucks’ birthday, and we might hook you up!  Your tweet should follow this format:

“I’m celebrating @Swagbucks’ 5th Bday because ________. #SB5Bday [Swag Name]”

Good luck and have fun!
