Help Team Swag Bucks Fight Cancer

Posted by on Thu, November 12th, 2009 at 10:40 am

TSG here – Swagbucks relishes any opportunity they can to give back, go green and fight various diseases when they can. Team Swagbucks member, Eron, has a cancer walk coming up that he’d like for you to read more about and help him out. This is a great cause and we’d love to see a big response from the Swag Nation. Here’s Eron…

With the holiday season just around the corner, there always seems to be that inherent feeling to give thanks ā€“ for your family and friends, for your teachers and coworkers, for the Swag Code TSG left you in the Swidget. As the warm fuzzy feeling of thankfulness begins to take over, the next thing that pops up is the feeling to give – and receive of course – but mainly give(hopefully).

It is with that spirit of thankfulness and giving that I turn to you, Swag Nation, to join me in supporting a very worthy cause ā€“ raising funds and increasing awareness of ovarian cancer.
This Sunday I will be participating the Run For Her 5k Run and Friendship Walk in Los Angeles, with proceeds benefitting the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute (WCRI) at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. The focus of WCRI physicians, nurses, scientists, staff, and volunteers is to treat ovarian cancer, develop effective new ways of treating and diagnosing ovarian cancer, and increasing education efforts to help win the war against gynecologic and breast cancers. Everyone involved with WCRI and Run For Her share a common goal: ending cancer as a threat to women.

With 70,000 women that die from gynecologic and breast cancers every year, and an additional 250,000 more that are diagnosed, it is very likely that someone you know has been stricken with this horrible disease. Well I have good news for you Swaggernauts ā€“ hereā€™s your chance to do something about it!

On behalf of Team Swag Bucks, I have set a goal of raising $2,500 for Run For Her. To achieve this goal, all we need is 500 people to donate $5. Just $5! I know money is tight for many of us, but all I ask is you skip that one morning Grande Latte or evening OnDemand movie to support Cancer Research. Please take a moment to visit the Team Swag Bucks donation page here:

Of course in typical SwagBucks fashion, if we can reach the goal of $2,500 then TSG will give a Swag Code worth 5 Swag Bucks for 2,500 people. On Monday TSG will announce when and where the Code will be later that week. I will also share an recap and pictures of my participation in this incredible event on behalf of Team Swag Bucks.

Thank you so much in advance to all that contribute. Here’s your chance Swag Nation to come together for something greater than all of us – supporting the fight to end cancer!
