Beauty Tips

There are all kinds of products out there specifically designed for teeth whitening and other aesthetic adjustments.  A lot of times, these products are ridiculously overpriced and don’t even end up working.  Fortunately, I found a great article on Hybrid Mom that shares some secrets to super white nails and teeth.

For Stains/Teeth Whitening

Take one strawberry and mash it up into a pulp.  Mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and apply it to your teeth with a soft toothbrush.  Let it sit for five minutes, and rinse it off by brushing your teeth as you normally would.  Repeat once a week.

Natural Toothpaste

Mix together 2/3 cup of baking soda, 4 teaspoons of fine sea salt (an exfoliant for your teeth), a few grapes, 1-2 teaspoons of peppermint extract (or add your favorite flavor – spearmint, cinnamon, orange, etc.), and enough water to get your desired consistency.  Use this all-natural mixture as your daily toothpaste.

Rosemary Mint Mouthwash

Boil 2.5 cups of water.  Add in 1 teaspoon of fresh mint leaves, 1 teaspoon of rosemary leaves, and 1 teaspoon of anise seeds.  Let this boil for about 20 minutes.  Once it is cooled, you’ve got your mouthwash!

White Nails

Soak your nails in a container of water with either lemon juice or lemon slices.  “The lemon acts as an astringent and will strip away stains. Once your hands are dry, you’ll only need to put on a couple of coats of a clear topcoat.”

Stay beautiful!
