Activity from tournaments

Happy Weekend, Swag Nation!
I am sooooo especially excited for this weekend and this weekend’s challenge. If you’ve been participating in game challenges a long time, you probably know that I love hockey and there’s no form of hockey I enjoy more than the Winter Olympics. So exciting to see each country’s best battling it out for the gold. The Summer Olympics get a lot of hype, but I think the events in the Winter Olympics are the best. Turn on just about any event during the Winter Olympics and you are gonna see something cool.
You might have already noticed there are some new and exciting tournaments all around Swagbucks Play. My favorite thing about these tournaments is that they’re available on every game we run tournaments on. That means no matter what game you’re into, you have a chance to win big. On each game you will find Gold, Silver, and Bronze tournaments. Each tournament is progressive in that the more people that enter them, the larger the prize will grow. These tournaments will end at noon on February 25th so there is a lot of time for the prizes to grow quite large. In addition to the listed Swag buck prizes, all Gold tournament winners will receive 20 entries into the $1000 CASH Swagstakes for each Gold tournament they win. Pretty cool, right?
One thing I want to make sure everyone understands about progressive tournaments is that when you enter a progressive tournament, it’s possible the prize value won’t raise. This not an error nor a bad thing! It means that even though not too many people have entered that tournament yet, Swagbucks has guaranteed the winner a minimum payment of what the prize was when you entered. If enough people enter the tournament, the prize value will raise.
So what’s this Weekend’s Game Challenge? Get any score in any Swagbucks game and post a link to a screenshot in the comments for this blog post. Alternatively, you can take a screenshot of a tournament entry from this weekend with any score on any game. For each of these correctly filled out posts, you will have one entry in a raffle to win 200 Swag Bucks. You may enter as many times as you like with new screenshots of different scores. One winner will be selected at random from each day of entries and announced in this blog post and on Twitter on Monday. That means, if you enter on Saturday, you can come back Sunday to enter again and be part of a new raffle. If you need an image hosting service, I recommend tinypic.com. The link you want is the URL.
You can also participate via Twitter by tweeting your screenshot @Swagbucks along with your Swag Name and the hashtag #sbgames. You may place each entry both on Twitter and in the comments, but if you win from an entry placed on Twitter, you will win an additional 100 Swag Bucks.
If you include a comment regarding your feelings about the Olympics, events you’re excited about, countries you’re rooting for, or your entry shows your score in any of this weekend’s tournaments and you are one of this weekend’s lucky winners, you will receive an additional 50 Swag Bucks. NO SPOILERS, PLEASE! If your entry shows one of your tournament scores in a Gold tournament and you are one of this weekend’s lucky winners, you will receive yet another 50 Swag Bucks in addition. That means you could potentially win as much as 400 Swag Bucks on this Weekend’s Game Challenge.
It was really cool to get to see all the various forms of art you guys are into. If you missed out on Wednesday’s Game Challenge, do check out the comments. There are truly some treasures to behold. If you enjoy the social aspect of the challenges, you should know that what we talk about here is never limited to games nor the bonus opportunities. It’s always great to get to know one another better!
I already mentioned I’m into hockey. While I’m not an expert, if you have any hockey questions over the Olympics, post ‘em in the challenges and I’ll do my best. If you are particularly knowledgeable about an event, let us know so we can turn to you about it!
Good luck. Have fun. Have a spirited weekend!
Update: This weekend’s winners are Chellan & JPCgirl! Congratulations! New Challenge Wednesday!
Don’t forget: You can still earn yourself 100 swag Bucks by submitting a game challenge of your own!

Posted by TSG on Wed, December 28th, 2011 at 11:00 amSince so many New Year’s Resolutions deal with weight loss and getting in shape, it’s only appropriate that our final Swagbucks Games special tournament of 2011 be Fat Cooker, in which you take your generously-proportioned foodie and help him lose weight by eliminating bad foods (done by putting them in groups of 4 or more) ...
