Some of you may have noticed that there has been an update to the PayPal redemption process. Now, in order to redeem any denomination PayPal card, you MUST have a verified PayPal account. When you attempt to redeem a PayPal card from the Swag Store, some of you may see this pop up:
At this step, please confirm that your e-mail address, first name, and last name match your PayPal account. If your name in the popup does not match the one on your PayPal account, change it in the popup and click continue. If your information matches, you will see this confirmation screen:
Once you click continue, you will be able to redeem the prize as usual. If your information does not match, you can try entering it again or continue shopping for other prizes.
You also must ensure that your PayPal account is verified. What does a verified PayPal account mean? Your PayPal account must be linked to either a bank account or be approved for PayPal Smart Connect or the PayPal Plus MasterCard®. Verification of identity increases customer trust because it creates a higher level of confidence that a person is who they say they are.

PayPal account verification may take up to a few business days days to process by PayPal.
