The Swagbucks Summer Social is only 3 short days away. How many referrals have you racked up so far? Some of you may not be aware of all of the different ways that you can earn referrals, so I’m here to shed a light on the topic.
Let’s start with the obvious – sending people your referral link. This is one of the easiest ways to get referrals. Simply send your friends your referral link, they’ll register for Swagbucks through that link, and you’ll earn the referral. But where do you find your referral link? Simply hover over the “Tools” tab at the top of the Swagbucks homepage and click “Invite & Earn:”
Once you arrive at the Invite & Earn screen, you’ll see your referral link right there on the top right of the page:
Simply click to copy the link and send it to all of your friends.
This brings me to the second method for getting referrals: Invite & Earn. Right there from the Invite & Earn page you can invite your friends and family to Swagbucks either through Facebook, Twitter, or by sending your invite to a friend’s e-mail. All of these invitations are referral-enabled.
Another great way to rack up referrals is through our Social Connect. For those of you wondering what that little icon is next to your Swag Buck total on the top of the Swagbucks homepage, that’s the Social Connect button. From here, you can choose to connect to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Yahoo right there from the Swagbucks website. You can customize your share options so that your chosen social network shares each time you win Swag Bucks. This means that you can set up your Facebook, Twitter, etc. to share your Search wins, Daily Poll win, SBTV wins, and more. To customize your sharing options, hover over your profile picture on the top right of the Swagbucks website, and select “My Settings:”
From here, click on the “Social Media” tab and you will see all your Social Share customization options.
Another way to earn referrals is through Pinterest. If you haven’t noticed, all of our prizes in the Swag Store now have a “Pin it” button. Clicking this will share that prize on your Pinterest page with a referral-enabled link.
Lastly, you can earn referrals through the widget. Most of you use the widget to notify you of Swag Codes, which is fine, but the widget is even more powerful than you think. To find the widget, hover over the “Tools” tab on the top of the Swagbucks homepage and select “Widget.” You can embed this widget onto your blog, your website, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, and more. If anyone signs up for Swagbucks through the “Sign Up” button on your embedded widget, you get credit for that referral.
Remember, you get matching Swag Bucks for each referral you earn, up to 1,000 (only Swag Bucks earned through Searching qualify for matching bucks). Make sure you stay tuned, though, as we begin to unveil the exciting earning opportunities coming your way at the Swagbucks Summer Social on Thursday, June 28th.
What’s your favorite way of getting referrals?
