DIY of the Week: Felt Donuts

These felt donuts may not be edible, but they are super fun to make. They can be used in a kids play kitchen, as decor or photo props, and anything else you can think of. You can even make other foods out of felt like hotdogs, cupcakes, and ice cream cones. Here’s the donut DIY from Michaels.

  • Sequins
  • Glue
  • Various colors of felt including brown, pink, white, and tan
  • Scissors

  • Cut out thick rings for the donuts, and squiggly rings for the icing. The link to the Michaels DIY has a template you can print out too if you don’t want to draw it out yourself.
  • Glue the icing onto the donut.
  • Glue the sequins on for sprinkles. You could also paint on sprinkles and designs with fabric paint, or add glitter.
